Spring Festival Craft Vendor

  1. As this is an open festival with no public admission fee, you are required by the State of South Carolina to register for a license to collect and remit the SC Sales Tax before you can sell at our show. If you already have a license, please list it above. If you DO NOT have a SC license, please visit for more information and to obtain your license. A retail license is $50, and a craftsman license is $20. We can accept you without the license, but you assume the risk of being shut down during our festival by SCDOR.

  2. Requirements

    We will not process any application that does not include: 

    • Photo of setup or list of items to be sold. 
    • Signature on Acceptance of Terms and Liability Release

    DO NOT send payment at this time. Once you receive an acceptance email, you will be asked to verify acceptance and send payment within 30 days. 

    Initial deadline for applying is Friday, April 19th. Vendors who apply after that date will inquire an additional $25 late fee.  

  3. Location:

    Vendors have the choice of setting up on either the Square or inside the Livery Stable, a semi-outdoor space just off the Square. Each option includes a 10’ x 10’ space. Vendors are responsible for bringing all other necessary materials. All chairs, tables, chairs, tents, etc. must fit within your allotted space. If using a tent on the Square, durable tent weights are required.  Note that the City cannot guarantee you will be placed in your preferred location. The City reserves the right to make last minute changes due to extenuating circumstances.

    Vendors are encouraged to use either battery or solar power lights, however, limited power is available if requested and costs an additional $25. Electricity is supplied on a first come first save basis and should only be used small things like string lights or a fan.

    Setup Time 

    • Friday, May 3rd from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM  

    Festival Hours (Vendors MUST be serving during this time. Failure to do so will negatively affect your chances of acceptance at future City Events.) Vendors may begin selling earlier on Friday if they wish. 

    • Friday, May 3rd from 5:00 PM – 10:30 PM
    •  Saturday, May 4th from 9:00 AM – 10:30 PM

     *Load in times will be sent via email one week prior to the Festival. Failure to arrive during your designated time block will result in not being able to drive onto the Square. Vehicles are NOT allowed on the Square during festival hours. If you need to drive onto the Square, you must do so before festival hours begin. Vendors MUST stay until the conclusion of the Festival and will not be able to drive onto the Square until the Festival ends. Failure to comply with these public safety rules will negatively affect your chances of acceptance at future City events. Due to public safety concerns, no one day attendance will be allowed. 

  12. Conduct:

    All vendors and their representatives shall conduct themselves in accordance with normal standards of decorum and good taste. The City of Abbeville reserves the right to eject vendors violating those standards against event staff, fellow vendors, and/or event attendees. 

  13. Rules and Regulations:
    • Tents are permitted, but not required. Any tent MUST be weighed down. The City of Abbeville is not responsible for any damage caused by improperly secured tents.
    • Unfortunately, we do not have the staff to offer vendors a break from their booth. Vendors should plan accordingly. The Festival is not responsible for loss or damage incurred if vendors leave their booth. 
    • Overnight security is not provided during the festival although the Livery Stable is locked at 10:00 PM on Friday night. The Festival is not responsible for loss or damage. 
    • No vehicles will be allowed on the square during festival hours. You will not be able to drive onto the Square until the Festival ends, the streets are clear, and the green light has been given to you by public safety. 
    • There is no rain date for this event. The Festival will make every effort to accommodate inclement weather. Refunds are not available for any reason including but not limited to rain, illness, time conflicts, etc. 
    • Spaces are 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep. ALL parts of a vendor’s tent, product, storage, etc. must be contained within the provided space. 
  14. Acceptance of Terms and Liability Release

    I agree by the policies and guidelines stated in this application along with any other the rules and regulations. I understand that all promotion of my items must take place within the confines of my booth. I understand that failure to comply with Festival guidelines, misrepresentation of products, disorderly conduct, or verbal abuse will result in immediate expulsion from the Festival and funds will not be refunded. I further understand that the City of Abbeville and all their representatives are not responsible or liable for damages including but not limited to, loss suffered before, during, or after each event I have applied to as a result of the display of my work, equipment, or material. I understand that there are no refunds or rain checks due to inclement weather. The City of Abbeville reserves the right to refuse booth space based on event guidelines. Any photos submitted with an application, or taken on behalf of the show of any vendors, are the sole property of the show.

    By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.
