The City of Abbeville Fire Department is a combination department consisting of paid and volunteer firefighters. The Department is classified by the Insurance Services Office (ISO) as a Class 4 Department serving 6 square miles. The Department is led by Fire Chief Neal Dickenson, who is appointed by the City Manager. The Fire Chief is responsible for the day-to-day operations and administrative functions of the Department.
