Hogs and Hens Craft Vendor

  1. Requirements

    We will not process any application that does not include:  Photo of setup or list of items to be sold.  Signature on Rules and Regulations. Please mail completed application to PO Box 40 Abbeville, SC 29620 or email application to DO NOT send payment at this time. Once you receive an acceptance email, you will be asked to verify acceptance and send payment within 30 days. Initial deadline for applying is Friday, September 30th. Vendors who apply after that date will inquire an additional $25 late fee. ($75 total)

  2. Location

    Vendors have the choice of setting up on either the Square or inside the Livery Stable, a semi-outdoor space just off the Square. Each option includes a 10’ x 10’ space. Vendors are responsible for bringing all other necessary materials. All chairs, tables, chairs, tents, etc. must fit within your allotted space. If using a tent on the Square, durable tent weights are required. Note that the City cannot guarantee you will be placed in your preferred location. The City also reserves the right to make last minute changes due to extenuating circumstances.

    Limited power is available if requested and costs an additional $15. Electricity is supplied on a first come first save basis and should only be used small things like string lights or a fan.

    • Setup Time: Friday, October 14th: 9:00 AM -12:00 PM 
    • Festival Hours (Vendors MUST be serving during this time. Failure to do so will negatively affect your chances of acceptance at future City Events.) Friday, October 14th from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Saturday, October 15th from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Hogs and Hens Juried Awards Presentation: Saturday, October 15th

    *Load in times will be sent via email one week prior to the Festival. Failure to arrive during your designated time block will result in not being able to drive onto the Square. Vehicles are NOT allowed on the Square during festival hours. If you need to drive onto the Square, you must do so before festival hours begin. Vendors MUST stay until the conclusion of the Festival and will not be able to drive onto the Square until the Festival ends. Failure to comply with these public safety rules will negatively affect your chances of acceptance at future City events. Due to public safety concerns, no one day attendance will be allowed.

  8. I agree by the rules stated in this application along with the rules and regulations. I understand that all promotion of my items must take place within the confines of my booth. I understand that failure to comply with Festival guidelines, misrepresentation of products, disorderly conduct, or verbal abuse will result in immediate expulsion from the Festival and funds will not be refunded. I further understand that the City of Abbeville and all their representatives are not responsible or liable for damages including but not limited to, loss suffered before, during, or after each event I have applied to as a result of the display of my work, equipment, or material. I understand that there are no refunds or rain checks due to inclement weather. The City of Abbeville reserves the right to refuse booth space based on event guidelines. 

  9. Electronic Signature Agreement*
    By checking the "I agree" box below, you agree and acknowledge that 1) your application will not be signed in the sense of a traditional paper document, 2) by signing in this alternate manner, you authorize your electronic signature to be valid and binding upon you to the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, and 3) you may still be required to provide a traditional signature at a later date.
